When Mardi Gras season rolls around, Ocean Springs gets a taste of New Orleans flair—thanks in large part to the annual transformation of Red Apple Lounge into the vibrant Mambo Pop-Up Bar. From January 17 to February 13, 2024, our Tarantino-inspired cocktail haven embraces the festive spirit of Mardi Gras, offering guests a unique blend of cinematic ambiance and Crescent City celebration.

🎉 A Pop-Up with Panache

Each year, Red Apple Lounge temporarily sets aside its usual film noir vibes to don the purple, green, and gold of Mardi Gras. The Mambo Pop-Up Bar features themed decor, lively music, and specialty cocktails that pay homage to New Orleans traditions. It's a limited-time experience that brings the energy and excitement of Bourbon Street right to the heart of Ocean Springs.

🍹 Carnival-Inspired Cocktails

Our Mardi Gras menu is a festive fusion of classic New Orleans flavors and creative mixology:

• Purple Drink: A bold blend of Elijah Craig bourbon, Everclear 190, and grape juice.

• Sazerac: A traditional concoction featuring Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey, absinthe, simple syrup, and Peychaud's bitters.

• French 75: A sparkling mix of Couvignac Cognac, lemon, simple syrup, and Prosecco.

• Hurricane: A tropical storm of Plantation Dark Rum, Bacardi Light Rum, lemon, and passionfruit liqueur.

• King Cake Martini: A sweet treat with Taaka King Cake Vodka, half & half, amaretto, whipped cream, and a King Cake baby garnish.

• Moonpie Martini: A dessert in a glass, combining marshmallow vodka, crème de banana, crème de cacao, half & half, and a Moonpie garnish.

We also feature local brews like Abita Mardi Gras and Chandeleur Carnival Cake Ale to round out the festive offerings.
