🖋️ From Fiction to Icon: How Midnight Boheme Brought Red Apple Lounge to Life
When Red Apple Lounge first came to life in Ocean Springs, we knew one thing for sure: this wasn’t going to be just another bar. We wanted a space that felt like a scene out of a Quentin Tarantino film—part speakeasy, part cinema, all swagger. And to get there, we needed a logo that didn’t just represent us—it had to set the tone.
Enter Midnight Boheme, a New Orleans-based graphic design studio with a flair for the cinematic, the stylish, and the slightly subversive. They didn’t just “make us a logo.” They built us a brand with backstory, attitude, and just the right amount of smoke.

🎬 The Fake Cigarette Brand That Started It All
If you’re a Tarantino fan (and let’s face it, if you’re at Red Apple Lounge, you are), you know all about Red Apple Cigarettes—the fictional brand that shows up in nearly every QT film. It’s in Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Four Rooms, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood—it’s an inside joke, a cinematic Easter egg, and a cult symbol of cool.
So when we decided to build a real-life cocktail lounge around that concept, we needed a brand that nodded to Red Apple’s film roots—but could also stand on its own in the real world.
🎨 Midnight Boheme: Design with a Director’s Eye
Based in the heart of New Orleans, Midnight Boheme is known for branding with soul—and a little swagger. They immediately understood the assignment:
Retro inspiration? Check.
Sleek vintage typography? Absolutely.
Bold, punchy color palette with cinematic flair? Delivered.
A logo that could be mistaken for a 1970s cigarette pack or a cult film poster? Chef’s kiss.
They studied every Red Apple Cigarettes appearance, from the grainy fake ads to Rick Dalton’s cheesy commercial, and pulled elements that felt nostalgic and rebellious. The result? A logo that screams “grindhouse glam” with a polished, upscale twist.

🍎 The Final Look: Red Apple, Reinvented
The custom-designed logo by Midnight Boheme is now the heartbeat of our brand:
A stylized red apple that hints at both temptation and tradition
Typography straight out of a spaghetti western title card
Subtle smoke lines and bold framing that echo vintage cigarette cartons and film posters
A design so strong, it looks like it’s been around forever—even though it’s brand new
From our glowing neon sign out front to our menus, merch, matchbooks, and more, Midnight Boheme’s design work isn’t just on display—it’s baked into the entire Red Apple Lounge experience.

🖤 Branding That Belongs in the Movies
Thanks to Midnight Boheme, Red Apple Lounge doesn’t just look like it came out of a Tarantino film—it feels like it could exist in one. It’s cinematic. It’s stylish. It’s the kind of branding that belongs behind the bar, on the wall, and in your camera roll.
So when you walk into Red Apple Lounge, you’re not just stepping into a bar—you’re stepping into a scene. And that scene? It started with a killer logo.
